Maybe if Johnson had dithered he might not have sent me and my brothers off to fight that "good" war... But, somewhere along the way, THAT good war turned very bad. Maybe if he dithered, 58,000 of my brothers would be alive...
Actually, it's Johnson's dithering that killed your 58,000 brothers. If he had acted decisively... either deciding to actually fight the war or bring the troops home... they would have lived. Instead, he fought a "police action" (kinda like you're suggesting we ought to do in Iraq and Afghanistan), told the troops not to fight to win, and generally tried to stradle the fence between pulling out and fighting all out. It's the dithering that killed them, excon.
Maybe if the dufus dithered, we wouldn't have invaded a country that was NO threat to us whatsoever, and we could have been fighting the "good" war...
You mean to say that the 13 or so months that he spent trying to gather a coalition, justify himself before the UN, dealt with the naysayers in Germany and France, and generally dithering while Saddam Hussein hid his WMDs in Syria was too fast for you? He should have slowed it down?
Obama firmly and boldly announced his strategy six months ago. A couple of weeks are gone.
Hello again, Steve:
See above.. Things change. Better they change NOW than after we lose 1,000's and 1,000's of Americans.
What changed, you ask?? His realization that we can't win, I answer. Should he have had hat realization 6 months ago, you ask? He should have, but things change, I answer. Is it better to change a mistake rather that go blindly ahead, I ask? No, you answer. Going blindly ahead is just fine. Remember, we have to honor our dead (I guess by risking more dead). I never have figured that one out.

So that's it, he's realized we can't win you say. I say he spent his entire campaign talking out of his behind and he's clueless about governing and leading. The only thing he excels at is campaigning, which is also his style of 'governing.' But hey, with him and most of his administration still blaming Bush we at least know what the campaign theme will be for the next few years... it's still Bush's fault.

Hello again, Steve:
I think you're finally grasping what happens when you're the WORST president in history. The crap you did to make you the WORST doesn't just go away because you did.

I dunno what's so hard to understand.

Yes, that is a very good description of the Obama Presidency.
I thought the people in charge now were supposedly elected to make all that go away and yet all they can come up with for a solution is to blame Bush for their own failures. I don't know what's so hard to understand either.

You would think that this only happens there but we see it all the time here the government carping on about what a mess the last fellows left and the others carping on about what a mess the government is making of their lovely economy, border protection, intervention, etc. It is human nature to use any mistake as an excuse for inaction because no one wants to fail. Bush didn't want to appear indecisive so he invaded Iraq, Obama doesn't want to appear indecisive so he holds to the course even with defeat staring him in the face. I don't know how you are doing over there but we are talking about reversing the stimulus like we don't want to appear indecisive when the economy overheats. Politicians are so fickle they will drop a policy as soon as there might be bad publicity
I have a really odd fishy smell in my bedroom which comes and goes. I live in an old terrace house which has been converted into 3 flats, my flat is ground floor and my bedroom used to be the old lounge of the house. It has an open fire place but the smell doesn't appear to be coming down the...

I installed a hanging lamp in my office and it has been stinking like rotting fish, or some animal type of smell, for two days. I finally took the bulb out and no more smell.
Could a faulty light bulb produce a fish smell when turned on?
Or, if the bulb wattage was too high, would that cause...
