The big problem with Rubio, Waltz, and Zeldin will be the possibility, slim though it would be, that seats could be lost in the Congress/Senate. |

Rubio would be replaced by a DeSantis appointment.
Zeldin of NY 1st district would be replaced with a special election. The 1st district is Suffolk County on Long Island .... solid Trump territory .I lived there in my childhood .It is conservative .
Waltz is from Florida 6th which is reliably red .
But yeah if the House is 1 or 2 seats close then the temporary vacancies could be an issue |
and just like that
The easy one is Ashley Moody replaces Rubio in the Senate
Lee Zeldin was a former NY Rep. The NY Rep that Trump selected that needs a special election is Elise Stefanik . A date to replace her can't happen until she is confirmed t be US Ambassador to UN and the vote for that has been pushed back to April 2 . Why the slow walk is beyond my understanding; especially since the Dems in NY have every intention to delay as long as possible a special election.
Waltz replacement is potentially off the rail. There is a special election for his seat April 1 .I believe early voting begins this week.
The Dems have sunk a fortune into this race in a district Trump won by a landslide. It is much closer than anyone imagined .
It pits Randy Fine against Dem Joshua Weil ;who converted to Islam shortly after 9-11. As a math teacher he has had multiple incidents of intimidation and violence against students and female teachers .

He also had a staffer with a multiple arrest record who has been using intimidation tactics on voters.
Flagler Co. deputies arrest campaign worker handing out Josh Weil flyers on stolen bike
And yet this race is up for grabs .
Weil has raised nearly $10 million, Fine... $561,000.
DeSantis is no fan of Fine and he says that he will underperform .
Ron DeSantis says GOP's Randy Fine will underperform in Florida special election
The Dems see this as an early referendum against Trump and as a chance to flip the House.
