Hello:

It IS kind of funny that the right takes it's lead from a radio dude like Limbaugh, and the left follows after the likes of comedian Jon Stewart...

But, I have to tell you Jon Stewart represents MY view better than ANY Obama people, ANY politician, or ANY news commentator, ANY where in the world. And, his news is FAKE!

Last night, Jon Stewart took apart CNBC in the face of Jim Cramer, and said stuff that ALL Americans WISH their congressmen said.

So, please if you're a ditto head, hold your nose and go here Eschaton to watch the fireworks. If you're a lefty, get ready to RUMMMMMMBLLLLLLLLLLLLLLE!

Absolutely:

Banks getting bailouts.
Subprime mortgage lenders and buyers getting a bailout.
Business giants getting a bailout.
Politicians not paying taxes.

Here I am paying half of what I earn in taxes, while responsibly paying all my bills.

I'm the last person to defend Cramer . Kudlow has been much better without him and Cramer has a poor performance for him to have such a following. I tried watching his show a few times but did not find it either informative or entertaining .

I am a long time fan of Stewart .I'm probably the only AMHD regular who paid to see a live performace by him... Doubly cool because it was at West Point.

My guess is that he prepped for the show by consulting with his brother Larry Leibowitz, the head of U.S. Markets and Global Technology at NYSE Euronext and former hedge fund manager.

Cramer has used the over-reaction by the White House which has personally attack any opposition against them to his benefit... Just like Rush has done. No doubt the exchange will also boost Stewarts ratings.

The thing I like about Stewart is that you know when he is being serious in his commentary ;and when he is using hyperbole ,exageration,and taking things out of context for a laugh. In that he is much better than most of the MSNBC crowd who uses hyperbole ,exageration,and taking things out of context in their serious reporting and commentary.

The thing I like about Stewart is his ability to get at the heart of a story when the MSM can't. I don't know why - and his news is fake.

The only problem is that if you notice ;when Stewart gets cornered he retreats to the cover of "I'm just an entertainer" . Cramer really isn't trying to claim he is covering news . All he really does is give lousy commentary and advice in a lousy format.
Anyway... listening to to lefty's go at it is like listening to Stalin and Trotsky debate .

Can't tonight. He sort of messed up his schedule yesterday with his St Patty's day partying . So tonight ;instead of conga line time ;he will get the soft ball treatment and yuck it up with Jay Leno.

I agree with this point. I dislike Stewart, but he has a talent for getting to the point of the matter... regardless of his viewpoint on that matter.

Seems to me that his talent as a comedian (and I don't dispute Stewart's talent in that area), which is essentially the ability to observe events, find the heart of the matter and make fun of it, stands him in good stead in this area.

Well, it's easy to say things that people like to hear when a) you aren't held responsible for deciding on and implementing policy, and b) when your news is "fake". I'd like to know if Stewart actually has any SOLUTIONS that can actually be implemented. I wonder how funny he would be then.

You see, that's the difference between a commentator/commedian and a congressman. Commentators and comedians don't have to take any sort of responsibility for what they say or do. If John Stewart says something outrageous about the economy, he gets a chuckle. If a congressman, senator or president says something outrageous about the economy, policies get implemented, business is effected, and the market tanks.

It might happen... and at that moment, he stops being a comedian and becomes a member of Congress. And at that point, anything he says is policy (at least it is HIS policy), and not a joke. He'll have to be MUCH more careful about what he says and how. He's going to find out just how much harder it is to be a member of the government, with all its responsibilities, than it is to be a commentator and comedian.
