The US is set to unfreeze Iranian assets worth $6 billion ;and 5 Iranian prisoners, in exchange for releasing 5 hostages .

This move comes at the same time Iran expelled a third of UN nuke inspectors from the country shaping the playing field for further BS ing Quid's JCPOA negotiators.

He has learned from Iran et al that the US can be compelled to make concessions with the taking of hostages .

In this case what Quid wants is pretty obvious. He has run out of strategic reserves to flood the market to control oil prices. So the only way he can prevent a price hike prior the elections is to get Venezuela to pump baby pump.
