To this or not to this that is the question
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous journalism
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,
    And by opposing end them?

Or should we just ignore them

Shock jock Howard Sattler's gay jibe shows disrespecting Prime Minister Julia Gillard is now a national sport | News.com.au

This deserves its own thread because dising politicians has, as the article says, become a national sport, whether it is the contest between bonehead and the emperor in the US or between what we now have described as a big @ssed quail in a big red box, que Julia Gillard, Prime Minister and she of the flaming red hair and personality, we have insinuated her consort is gay, I'm unsure what that says about her while at the same time she wages a relentless campaign on the male of the species, que Leader of the Opposition, Tony Abbott, AKA, the budgee smuggler from down under, and of course, waiting in the wings and being as disruptive to the political process as possible we have KRUDD, deposed former leader of the country

What disturbs me is when the press shows reverence to them. This is what Harper's weekly said of Abraham Lincoln :Filthy Story-Teller, Despot, Liar, Thief, Braggart, Buffoon, Usurper, Monster, Ignoramus Abe, Old Scoundrel, Perjurer, Robher, Swindler, Tyrant, Field-Butcher, Land-Pirate

The election of 1800 between Jefferson and Adams got really nasty . They both had their surrogates in the press to sling mud. Jefferson's hired hand was James Callender . He wrote that Adams is "a repulsive pedant," a "gross hypocrite," and "a hideous hermaphroditical character which has neither the force and firmness of a man, nor the gentleness and sensiblity of a woman."
Sounds pretty similar to the slur against Red Julia's consort.
Adams press spread the rumors (now conclusively proven true ) that Jefferson had children with his slave Sally Hemings .

Now there were always rumors going around New York City that Ed Koch was gay. So to deal with it , Koch kept former Miss America Bess Myerson as his “companion” during his first race for mayor.Myerson was rewarded by Koch making her commissioner of Cultural Affairs in his second term. But throughout his public life Koch would be seen around with young men who he introduced as his nephews". If I believe the rumor about Red Julia ,I would say that she is adopting the Koch model for political cover .

No Julia is being true to her fabianist and communist roots, this old idea of marriage is not for her, she co-habits with Tim, the first bloke as he is known, and he is seldom seen, preferring being way in the backgound or the underbrush. The odd part is not wanting marriage herself she denies it to gays lest she blow her cover. I understand why the slur was levied after all he is obviously pu$$ywhipped and doesn't even step up for men.

But the chef took the slur a step too far, making sure we understood just how big Julia is considered

I can't remember when we have had a politician leader who was a bigger buffoon. Just think of the captions. Juliar, Quail, Big Red Box, she has at least twice missed her footing and fell flat on her face, has been pelted with sandwiches by children at leat twice, had to sack staff for ambushing the leader of the opposition in her company, was lampooned by feminist Germain Greer as a big A$$ and there are other comments about her character too viscious to mention, she has had her veracity as a lawyer questioned, no big deal for a lawyer, but for the nations leader.I know this for sure on 14/9 we will see the back of her for the last time. The Ides of September cometh
