How to blow up a pipeline
    Happy Earth Day.

Clueless Joe is an eco-terrorist . Oh he will deny it and maybe justify it when the allegation is proven . He blew up the Nord Stream II pipeline Not only did it serve his geo-political agenda. It also served his energy policy .

I got the connection by reading a review, and seeing the trailer, of the new movie 'How to Blow Up a Pipeline'

How To Blow Up A Pipeline - Official Trailer - In Theaters April 7 - YouTube

(no ;this is not a Navy training manual)

Adapted from Andreas Malm's 2021 nonfiction of the same name ;it is not a detailed instruction manual . It shows how a small group of wacko eco-terrorists built and detonated a bomb capable of taking out an oil pipeline. They hope by this action to inspire copy cats with the ultimate goal of driving up the price of oil ,by adding to the oil company's cost of doing business.

They have determined that peaceful protest is no longer sufficient . They want to blow the pipeline up ;get caught ,and make a case in court that their actions were justifiable self defense.

The film makers are sympathetic to the group. This is not your metamorphosis from noble cause to evil terrorism. This is a call to action.

The book… makes the case for acts of strategic
property destruction as a response to the climate crisis.
But when director Daniel Goldhaber (whose debut
feature, Cam, was a psychological, camgirl-centered
horror film) read the book..he saw a contemporary
    Ocean’s 11, a modern Reservoir Dogs, a high octane,
    heist-style thriller. The fundamental differenCE
between this movie and those past flicks, though, is
    the fossil fuel infrastructure.

Oh, and there was one other difference, too:
If Goldhaber did his job and made his adaptation
irresistibly cool… he believed he could help
“shift the cultural narrative around climate tactics.”

To push back on the taboos around the actions
Malm argues are necessary to prevent all-out
    disaster. To broaden sympathetic audiences’
horizons regarding what activism might look like.

Whether Goldhaber’s How to Blow Up a Pipeline
, out today, will accomplish those lofty goals is yet
to be determined. But as a film?
Well, let us be scientific: It slaps.

What the film really demonstrates is the delusions of the people in the movement .Their terrorism is a lashing out caused by their own various neurotic anxieties.

In the UK we are beginning to see such groups organize into "mostly peaceful protests "

    Just Stop Oil - Wikipedia

They are already semi-violent using disruption and vandalism . Like the US Weathermen protests ,it won't be long before they resort to bomb making to achieve their goals.

But what happens when world leaders are sympathetic to the cause ? Clueless Joe had the means and the ability to take direct action and justify it due to other geo-political reasons .(even though he publicly still denies it )
