You'd think CNN and the lefties would be praising him for that...they after all like to harp that you are what you feel, not what you was actually born with the parts for.

Maybe we can get to ask him when he testifies before congress again. He sure didn't disclose it when he had the chance. Hey Tom you going to start a Trump Tax reform thread here?
Okay I'll start it. Trump lies again and thinks nobody will notice his new middle class tax reform plan that won't benefit him, or the rest of the rich guys.

I haven't gone through all the details yet . I am unimpressed with your analysis . All we ever hear is that the rich get richer /the poor poorer ;the middle class screwed ...no matter which plan is proposed .
The one part of it that interests me is the elimination of state and local tax deductions . I figure that will have the biggest impact on the blue states that over tax their residents . I'm betting that if it goes through then maybe the folks in those states will finally begin to question the logic behind them being taxed to death at the state level ;maybe ask their reps to justify the almost annual increases in property taxes that force people to pay the equivalent of a second mortgage to cover the taxes ...Maybe they will begin to question what value they get for this plunder at the local level.
As for me ;I'm going to be voting with my feet in the next couple of years . I can't afford to retire here ;so I'll have to move on.Maybe I'll move to a state where my vote actually matters .

Come on down! Texas is a red state, with no state tax. Trumponomics is nothing more than trickle down economics on steroids. A revision of the Bush tax cuts that so far only lacks the off the books expenditures that hide increasing deficits spending so good luck selling that to conservatives who insist on deficit reductions. I doubt that's a recipe for the sustained, consistence, growth projections that Trump promises will pay for those cuts I mean REFORMS, nor would I trust those "job creators" his plan calls for to do the right thing for Americans (good paying jobs), when they never have before with tax cuts, or new investment money from repatriating off shore profits. Not without strong regulatory "incentives" to do so.
King Reagan at least brought FLEXIBILITY to tax policy, but we know what happened when Pappy Bush tried the same thing. Or when Obama wanted a very modest tax increase for the richest amongst us for an infrastructure package. So we will see what happens when the meat is added to the bare bones Trump proposal.

Well giving free stuff to 47% of the population has achieved what exactly... besides creating a larger dependent class of people who aren't productive OR tax payers. Most of whom would probably starve to death if they were ever expected to actually support themselves.

Actually that 47% includes the working poor, and their children, many with two jobs, or two people working minimum pay jobs who qualify for extra help. I know a married couple with a couple of kids just starting school who need food stamps, and rent subsidies who barely can afford gas to put in the raggedy a$$ beater they drive.
We need to be careful when we pigeon hole so large a part of the population into derogatory categories just make ourselves think we are better because they are so much worse off. Like Dufus did when he castigated Puerto Rico for being devastated by 2 category 5 hurricanes.
That's a deplorable mindset considering his 3 star general he sent to get things in order said he didn't have the man power or resource to deal with the situation. And these are fellow Americans who need help! What a disgust example of leadership.

Mayor Gomez is calling out Trump . But Geraldo Rivera is on the ground and is questioning her accusations.
https://twitter.com/GeraldoRivera
and of course herr Donald put his phone in his mouth again responding with ridiculous tweets .
https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/...ap-puerto-rico
Trump sparring with a lower-ranking Hispanic woman (San Juan’s Mayor) and accusing Puerto Rican workers of laying about waiting for help just plays into every bad narrative about Trump.
As you know with the Houston example ;private initiative is on the ground and at work while the government fiddles with it's genitals planning a response. I don't blame the people of the island . They have been conditioned to rely on government services .
http://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-w...buted-at-ports
A long time ago the ultimatum should've been given to either become a state or an independent nation. A referendum with those 2 choices should've been on the ballot . Puerto Rico’s current troubles grow out of the island’s lack of autonomy in constructing its own economic policies. Puerto Rico’s relationship with the United States continues to be one of colonial-style dependency.
Their economy and the people have also been screwed by the arcane 1920s era Jones act. It should be voted out of existence instead of these grants of temporary reprieve . The net effect on places like Puerto Rico, Hawaii ,Alaska ,Guam etc is that the cost of living is higher than in mainland USA . Consumer items from the U.S. mainland cost twice as much in Puerto Rico as they do in other Caribbean islands.
Meanwhile if you are looking for an organization to donate to help the island's relief then I highly recommend Team Rubicon. The challenge is enormous .This isn't the Berlin air lift . You can't air drop running water and electricity . The ports were damaged and the roads from the ports impassable . It will take a short term and a long term response .In many ways this is worse than Katrina. You can't truck in supplies .

So the self-opiniated mouth has struck again, Yes it is not unreasonable that people who have their homes destroyed, who have little food and are facing a prospect of months of homelessness, should expect Trump to do more, 10,000 marines for 2 million people, not enough, but there is a bigger issue here, a race issue, these people are hispanic and not Trump voters, their island is already victim of the american dream, things were bad there before the hurricanes. You can bet the key state of Florida will get all the help it needs
Tom no matter how bad infrastructure is, the military has the ability to get the supplies, yes you can truck in electricity its called an aircraft carrier and it can act as a base untill airfields are restored, it can provide desalinated water, and the US has plenty of aircraft carriers and LCD. Instead of fighting imaginary wars with Kim they should be deployed. I know what the military can do, Small civilian teams can help but boots on the ground engineer teams is what is needed

ridiculous assertion . Same weak slander they gave to GWBush . You think there are no minorities in Houston ? Look Puerto Rican Geraldo Rivera is there on the ground ;and he is not being critical of the Federal response. The mayor of San Juan is taking cheap shots for political reasons.

Begging for help for her peeps is a cheap shot? Okay tell me why 20/30 thousand troops weren't deployed the minute the rain stopped? Or why a 3 star general said HE needs more help?
Put the politics and the pat aide and put Americans first. That would Make America Great Again like he promised.

Yes what makes a nation great is caring for your people and we are not talking about a Caribbean island here, this is just as much a part of the US as Houston, or Miami, and yes it is inconvenient that there have been three hurricanes to deal with

Clete there is a minimal amt an aircraft carrier can do to bring supplies to a mostly mountainous island .Stop the hatred . The US government is doing what it can. I can't say the same for the idiot local leadership . Why did they not have generators and fuel on hand ;being that they are islands that constantly get hit by weather events ? Like I said ;they have been conditioned to rely on the liberal big nanny state for so long that they don't have a clue about how to take care of themselves.

Ah the you should have been prepared for all eventualities or what is known as the boy scout excuse. You weren't prepared so you are an idiot excuse. How many generators do you provide for a population of millions? Where do you store the emergency fuel? Yes I have a generator in my garage, do you? But I would only have fuel for a few days anyway. Way I hear it Peurto Rico is a failed state within the USA, so little ability to prepare and use prescious resources, but then, oh, one of perfect knowledge like Trump, you know what needs to be done before it needs to be done and you don't send the aircraft carriers because after all the island is mountainous rather than seeing that they can help the people of San Juan. Who conditioned them to rely on the nanny state? Where has been the nation building to build their economy, you would rather invest in Mexico or China. There is an amazing disconnect in the thinking over there

That 47% after tax deductions STILL don't pay any taxes.. making them leeches to society. Plain and simple. THEY are not making a contribution to anything. Yet then somehow feel they have a right to harp about how tax dollars they pay effectively NONE of are spent.
And on another note....the Crap in Puerto Rico is one retarded communist Mayor with an IQ lower than her shoe size. Lots of aid there already and more on the way..if the idiot Unions there weren't refusing to pick it up and deliver it from the port.
