The Dream Act
Does anyone but me know that even though this bill was voted on twice in Congress and voted DOWN, last Friday Obama decided to sign this bill into law on his OWN?
What a joke this president has turned out to. That's what we have Congress and the Senators for, isn't it? What gives him the power and right to do this after it's been voted down?
It's more like the NIGHTMARE Act to me. Are the US Taxpayers paying for the college for the amnesty folks as well? Why not just one choice, the armed forces instead of OR college?

Here is the memo I think you are referring to.
http://www.ice.gov/doclib/secure-com...etion-memo.pdf
ICE is using it's power to prioritize the level of enforcement to effectively give a pass to the illegals who would benefit most from the Dream Act.
There is favorable enforcement to illegals by "length of presence in the United States"... if the illegal came to the United States as a young child ;if the illegal is pursuing an education in the United States, and “whether the person, or the person's immediate relative, has served in the U.S. military.”
These are administrative bypasses to the legislative process in that it essential enforces the provisions of the Dream Act . It is governance by executive fiat and a violations of the separation of power .

It is no wonder that 160 years ago someone drew a line across that nation. It remains divided. If you drew the line today you might draw it in a different place but the division remains. The people the debate was about have changed but the debate is essentially the same. Are there to be two classes of people or not?
That memorandum recognises a reality, with so many illegals you can't chase everyone and therefore priority should be given to threats not those who are not a threat. It is permisssion to look the other way as distinct from the efforts of some to look in every direction at the same time

BUT who decided he could just do some kind of MEMO and change everything even though the Congress voted twice on it?
Now I am certain we have a dictator instead of a president in the White House. He seems to do as he pleases and gets away with it regardless of what laws he has broken.
Why have a Congress in the first place if this jerk decides to skirt around the law and votes.
Can hardly wait to see how he shafts America in the "debt crisis" shortly. He'll probably give Billions more in "aid" to Israel and short sheet the old folks on SSR. You watch and see if I'm right or wrong on this. He plays by the rules of his handlers - not in the spirit of America for Americans. He's not for us, he's for himself and his friends.

Hello tom:
Of COURSE, there's prioritization.. There's 12 MILLION of 'em here. In fact, we've BEEN prioritizing since we invited 'em in. So, now it makes SENSE to prioritize in an ORGANIZED manner instead of prioritizing haphazardly.
That IS, unless you think we should throw all 12 million of 'em out... If you do, would you explain HOW you would do that, instead of just intoning the words?

It seems Ex you can't legislate common sense but as soon as someone actually puts common sense in writing everyone is up in arms. I suggest that you start at the Canadian border and sweep south pushing the illegals all the way to Mexico. It might take all of your military and paramilitary agencies but remember what Obama said "yes we can!" You can reconquer the United States, it's your heritage, after all you took it off the Indians and that gives you the right to keep it. Remember Wounded Knee, send in the cavalry

But Exie, dear, the Congress voted this down twice and the public did not want this. Yes, they are a problem, but NOW they will be a much BIGGER problem. Why even have an Immigration Department since now Obammy has made a complete mockery of our country and illegal aliens and this is not just for the Mexicans - it's for ALL illegal aliens.
Give the moron a cookie and more milk and pat him on the head for doing such a terriffic job so far in really wrecking this country with both hands. He needs no help from Congress who already does a great job at squandering money on pet projects back home or happily giving away our money overseas.
So now what does this mean when our fiat money crashes to the bottom of the toilet shortly? That all illegal aliens will call home and ask them to SEND money to the US? Fat chance as they have already spent it.
