Iran backed militias killed 3 U.S. service members and injured 25 in a drone attack on a base in Jordan near the Syrian border. It’s the worst incident of deaths and injuries of US personnel in the region since the start of the Oct. 7 war in Gaza. Since that war began Iran ,emboldened by a feeble US response has allowed the militias to increase the frequency and intensity of attacks on US bases in the region. There have been over 150 attacks ;and scores of troops have been injured . This information of course has largely been suppressed with the assistance of the compliant press . I suspect that with these deaths they will not be able to bury this information any longer.



Why are the troops there ? The mission allegedly is to fight ISIS . These militias attacking are NOT ISIS .

The militia group consolidated under the name of the 'Islamic Resistance in Iraq' have claimed responsibility . Iran's fingerprints are all over it . The drone was an Iran made Shahed model UAV.

“The Mujahideen of the Islamic Resistance in Iraq attacked at dawn today, Sunday, January 28, 2024, using drones, four enemy bases, three of which are in Syria. They are Al-Shaddadi Base, Al-Rukban Base, and al-Tanf Base, and the fourth is inside our occupied Palestinian territories.”

Note this is not quoted from the compliant press . Searching Twitter and alt news sources is pretty much the only way to find facts these days .

The administration in response have conducted ....ummm shall we say ... intermittent strikes against the group in retaliation.

Over 150 attacks . The troops have to intercept the drone and missile attacks 100 % of the time . It was inevitable that one would hit it's mark .

But it is all over the news that Iran is trying to distance itself from these attacks . And the administration mouthpiece was quick to say that although we did sorta retaliate ,that we are not looking to escalate .

This can only embolden them further .

Our response has been playbook predictable. Clueless alternately drools platitudes about not escalating and proportionate strikes . In other words the enemy gets to decide the scale of their attack knowing what our response will be .The real question is what is our objective ? Our use of force must be matched to achieve our goals


Flashback April 18, 1988

Iran mined the Persian Gulf to disrupt commercial traffic President Reagan sent in the navy in response. One of our ships ;the USS Samuel B Roberts a guided missile frigate ran into one of the mines while escorting a Kuwait tanker . The ship was damaged and 10 sailors suffered severe injuries. In a heroic effort the crew welded the hole closed and strung cables to keep the stern of the ship from breaking off .


Reagan unleashed Operation Praying Mantis . It was a combined air and ship attack on the entire Iran navy. They damaged and sunk several ships ;they destroyed 2 oil platforms where the mining operations were being conducted from . They took out radar installations .

2 Marines died when their helicopter ;flying reconnaissance crashed .

After 1 day Reagan called the attacks off after Joint Chiefs Chairman William Crowe said, “We’ve shed enough blood for one day.”

The US response convinced the Ayatollah to call an end to their 8 year war with Iraq.

Clueless should keep that in mind. Iran and their proxies ;including the Houthis in Yemen cannot launch drones or fire missiles from bases they no longer have .

After four years of Biden, Trump should change his slogan to, "Make America Average Again." Just getting back to average would be quite a gain.
