    Atrocious hats worn by celebrities.
Atrocious hats worn by celebrities. What can I say... people had the nerve to wear these in public?

Starting with Princess Beatrice at the royal wedding.

My wife had some colorful language for it... I was at a loss for words.

Or is there a hidden purpose that I am missing.

Well, I'm not so sure what's worse... that someone actually had the poor taste or nerve to wear that in puiblic... or that someone created it in the first place.

Looks like a wall ornament that would be stuccoed to a wall of a building.

Wonder if anyone at all thinks it was nice. I think its clear she didn't seek any advice before she got it.

That's the best explanation for that hat I've heard yet.

Can't stand that hat, but worse is her makeup and her hair. Did she just get out of bed from an all night drink fest, put the hat on, leave her sleep streaked makeup from the night before, and go to the wedding?

She looks like she just crawled out of a hole.

Don't even get me started on the old lady outfit. ;)

She was going for the wealthy zombie with no taste look. I think so anyway.

She got the zombie with no taste look down pat, but the wealthy part, she missed the mark. She looked like she went to a thrift store, got her "dress" or whatever that was, and then made a hat at home to match the dress.

But then, most of the guests looked frumpy. I can't really pick on her alone. ;)

Most definitely she wasn't alone with "the stupid thing on your head" look. I just pegged her as the worst offender by my own standards.

Tell me that doesn't look like a wall decoration someone spray painted pastel and nailed to a cap.

To me it actually looks like some sort of contraceptive device. But I have a very good imagination. ;)

There was another lady that wore this monstrosity that looked like a vagina with a flower in the middle. Again, I have a great imagination. ;)

Then there was the lady that decided to thwart the Queen and not wear a hat, even though it was specifically stated on the invite that hats must be worn. Tsk, tsk.

Frankly, I didn't see one hat that said to me "OMG! I must have that".

I would have shown up in a baseball cap, and I think I would have been one of the best dressed there. ;)

I do have to add. Kate's dress was gorgeous. It suited her wonderfully, and it was very tasteful. Much better then Diana's dress. :)

I was sooooooooooooooooooo relieved that her dress wasn't the usual strapless thing that has gotten to be so popular. I was so happy to see lace sleeves and a V-neckline. And a short train. Diana's dress and 25-foot train were like something from a Disney cartoon.

Lip readers had been hired by news stations to interpret what people (Will and Harry at the altar, Kate and Will at various times) were saying to each other. Before the ceremony, the Queen leaned over to mutter something to her husband. Wish I could have read her lips.

I don't hate the strapless gowns, after all, mine was strapless, but I have to say that Kate's dress was befitting a ceremony for a princess. It was classy, elegant, not too outlandish, very well made. I loved it. Not too many people could have pulled it off. She has the perfect figure for a dress like that.

Diana's dress was just too poofy. I didn't like it back then, and I hate it even more now. It was just too outlandish, and didn't suit her at all.

    Awww. That's so sweet. :o

Well, it was an okay dress for the time. Way out of date now. I loved it though. But, if I were getting married today, I'd go for something like Kate's. Maybe not as demur, because that's not my style, but something more sleek. I also loved the lace.

I can't believe we're talking dresses. LOL. Anyone have any comments on the shoes? ;)

I'm serious... you looked better. Even if I didn't know you here... having seen both... YOU looked better.

But yeah... dresses are subject to style and fashion trends... at least a little.

Here's the hat that I think looks like a vagina with a flower in the middle. Also, can we say holy blue! She looks like a blue paint can fell on her. There is such a thing as contrast.

This one reminds me of a topiary. It's just horrible. Her face doesn't make it any better.
