    What is the statue of limitations on theft by deception in the state of virginia
    How long does statue of limitation in the state of virginia have if u were never charged but people threating to call the cops on u so u can be charged?

    The statute for fraud is 24 months.

    Generally, felonies are not subject to a statute of limitations. See generally Ronald J. Bacigal, Criminal Procedure § 14-9, 413 (2004). Generally, misdemeanors are subject to a one-year limitation, but petit larceny is subject to a five-year limitation. Code § 19.2-8.

    Hello l:

    That's not the catch... That's the whole idea of a statute of limitations in the first place. If they were charged, there would be a warrant and the statute wouldn't apply.

    You probably have a year to sue. If you don't report it to the cops the criminal SOL won't even start.
