    violation of probation
I have a boyfriend that was/is on felony probation for assault charges in another state and had his probation moved here. He is an ex veteran and was going through a manic/psychosis episode from being on the wrong med. He got worse and the VA put off seeing him and he got so bad they had requested a pickup/hold on him for VA to come pick him up. The local police department came to pick him up and his Roommate said he wasn't there and that he was evicting him (he was crazy) and the police department closed the case. He got down to the VA and they gave him a medicine that made him worse. Two days later, he was at a gas station and a cop told him to pick up a paper towel he put on the ground. He told the cop "f**k off, leave me alone I'm still using it and continued on and took the paper towel with him. The cop states in the report he followed him to gain probable cause. He went over the line turning onto his street and the cop hit the lights and he went 1 block pulled in the driveway and went inside. The cop went Ape s**t and called for K-9 and major backup. He's paranoid for the last 3 days and takes off out the back of the house. The cop says he hears a gun magazine being loaded and storms in. It was him exiting the sliding glass door. The K-9 dogs got him and he gave in and went peacefully. There were 20 neighbors out there telling the cop he mentally cracked and the police closed it. The cop noted it in the report and stated hedid not like being cursed at and tookhim to jail instead to state mental health. In jail since 4/23 he didn't get any meds for 9 days and then the VA sent the name of the MED that made him worse and he really flipped in there. He has finally improved and I have hired the top attorney in our town but I get told we have to wait and see if the state files formal charges, day 33. He is on day 29. He was charged fleeing and eluding a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest without violence and felony VOP. We are in Florida. My biggest question is how long will it be before he can get out so he can go to a hospital? The original state does not intend to pursue and his PO said he won't pursue and they are all shocked that he went to jail instead of the hospital. The cop also put a 7 day hold and impounded the truck. He is. Unbondable now will he ever get out?

If the state he's originally on don't want him he should be fine. It's now up to the judge who hear his case on the new charges so make sure his mental condition get notice in court. I know the police can suck at times sorry to hear that how everything works out.
