    Tried to repayment the amount
I had filed some fraudelent insurance claims a few years ago totalling $5600. A few years ago I had hired a lawyer and wanted to repay this amount. The insurance company would not even respond back to my lawyer on this matter. Now I have to appear in court and be charged with fraud over $5000.

I have never had any problems with the law before and I tried to return/repay the money back to the insurance company.

Do you think there is any way I will not do any jail time? I would be willing to repay the amount and do community service. What do you think?

    Hello wd:

Uhhhh... Don't hire THAT lawyer again... If he can't pay back stolen money, then he isn't worth crap...

Yeah, I think you've got a 50/50 shot at winding up in the can.
