    Traveling to Germany and a past felon
    I have a record but am no longer on probation or parole can I travel to Germany?

    Maybe, it will depend on the crime, you will have to request a visa to travel to Germany.

    You can travel to Germany. The question is whether Germany will let you into the Country once you get there. Contact their embassy and ask.

    Of course you can if you are not on probation you can do and go wherever you would like

    This is absolutely incorrect legal advice. It depends on the charge and whether the Country will issue a visa, whether a US citizen even needs a visa. Different Countries have different regulations.

    As it happens US citizens VISITING Germany for a short period, not planning to work, do not need Visas. That is not true in all Countries.

    For example, with certain felonies you cannot drive/fly/walk across the border and enter Canada.
