Need ss and id cards on the run how do I get them?
About 11 months ago I broke out of a long term boys home. I've been doing good and staying out of trouble by having a steady job and putting my social life on hold for a minute. Just this week I lost my job and a day later my wallet gets stolen. In my wallet I had my id, ss card, and my just cashed two week pay check. I've been looking for jobs that don't back ground check which isn't that hard to find, only thing is all the jobs need at least my id and ss card. I'm just wondering if I can go to the dmv (im only 17) and get an id with out being pulled in? The boys home was in a different state than the one I'm getting my id in if that means anything. Also I need to know if a juvenile runs away and then returns once he is an adult will his record be clean?

You can try going to the local Social Security office in person and getting a new SS card explaining about your wallet being stolen. They will issue you a temporary card and your permanent regular card will be mailed to you. Hopefully you remember the right card number that belongs to your name.

If you have your birth certificate you can go down to the DMV to get an ID card. Without the birth certificate it will be hard to get an ID card. Worth a try though if you go in person and tell them your wallet was stolen and that you had ID from a different state.

But you don't think ether the DMV nor the ss office will do any kind of check like an NCIC etc. when getting ether of these cards?
