    Convicted felons
Is there any type of places that help convicted felons find jobs or get financial help?

Absolutley. There are lots of organizations that can help out in that area, here where I live. It will of course depend on where you are residing. You can also check with your P Officer. They have a lot of contacts for you to get a fresh start.

    Hello yasper:

None that I know of. I've also never had a PO who "helped".

Find out where the Ms above lives and move there.

I second that excon. Never heard of any PO helping anyone - ever. Also I'd like to know where MS lives so we can see just how much "help" is really available. Never heard of such a thing. I have no first hand info on any organization that actually goes out of their way to help felons get jobs.

Your right I don't have any first hand experience with this topic. However yes, I have heard of people that have actually gotten names and companies that they can go and apply for a job. Sorry your experiences haven't been the same. Start with Office of Justice Programs (Reentry), their programs typically start while your incarcerated, but if you scroll down the page you will find some other agencies that are willing to help those that want to be employed.
