Search warrant for nude pictures of my girlfriend.
My girlfriend sent me a lot of nude videos and pictures of her when I was in Afghanistan. We've split up since and she got a protection order against me even though she told the judge I have never even yelled or had an argument with her.

The police got a search warrant to search my house cause she said that she was afraid I would show the pictures of her. They took my laptop and arrested me for stalking on Facebook, even though the Sheriff on the stand said it was all assumed and I never said anything about her or her nude pictures.

Now I'm facing jail over the pictures she gave me.

    Can they do that ?

What is the specific charge? Cyber stalking? Violating a order of protection?

The warrant was to seize your laptop for evidence of stalking?

Do you have an attorney? What state are you in? Are you in the military?

    Hello hey,

Nahhh... That's not why they got a search warrant... Showing the pictures ISN'T a crime, and the cops wouldn't care if you did.

So, if you want GOOD legal advice, you've got to give us GOOD information to go on...

You HAVE a copy of the search warrant. What does it say?

How old, exactly is... or was, your girlfriend? And how old are you?

Hm. So you're 12 and too shy to kiss your boyfriends. But then you're in legal trouble because your girlfriend sent you nude pics? Something isn't adding up here

An explanation is required, as this is clearly misrepresentation.

The issue here is unless she was under age

They can not legally even take the photos, since they were given to you freely and you have the right to have them.

Do you not have an attorney ?
