    You should have been given some guidelines to your probation. Some is unmonitored while some is monitored. I believe either way you have to let the probation officer know and often get permission via some paperwork. This again depends on the level of probation.

    Each probation has its own rules, So to be sure ask your probation officer, many probation requires their permssion, so if you are not sure, ask the PO.
