    Probation officer do's and don'ts
How do I know that my probation officer is being prejudice against me and can they go behind my back and charge me with a charge I was never charged with 4 months prior before I was on probation just to purposely violate me?

Word of warning... you are on probation. You are not their equal. They DO have the power to make your life hell, literally. Give them crap or reason... and they will.

There is almost no way for you to win.. and almost every way for you to lose.

Probation is about following rules and doing as you are told (to the letter)....If they see you as resistive as you appear to be to to me reading this....they will go out of their way to find a reason to violate you. And if they look hard enough they will likely find something.

You don't have to like them....all you have to to is give them respect and toe the line they give you for the fairly short duration of your probation. Do that and it will pass quickly....but as they say the squeaky wheel gets the grease....complain a lot and you draw undue attention to yourself and you don't want that to happen.

Also its not behind your back..everything is there in your records. For everyone with the access to see.

    Hello s:

Smoothy is right.. It's about the rules.. But, probation officers have rules too, and you should get a copy of them to make SURE they DON'T violate them.. They're available. Just ask.

Smoothy is also WRONG about stuff.. When I was on probation, I KNEW the rules.. Whey THEY violated them, I won at every turn...

Of course the PO is against you, they are against everyone they supervise. Most see their job as catching you doing something.

They can report prior crimes to the courts or police and the DA may charge you with a new crime. A PO will revoke you for any violation of the rules (crime or rule)
