    Parole violation
    Hello I am a concerned mother of a son with a probation violation for not reporting to his po they had a nation wide warrant for his arrest and picked him up yesterday can anyone tell me what he is facing now such has jail time or prison time

    I would say prison, depending on the original charge. He can now be ordered to serve the original sentence (he was given probation instead of prison time) plus time on the probation violation.

    In my area at least you are held in the local jail until you are sentenced; after that it's called prison.

    Yes, of course all warrants are national, they are listed in the computer so anyone that finds him would hold him for the warrant.

    But he will be held pending a hearing
    * he needs an attoreny, at the hearing he will explain why he did not report, the judge will then decide to give him another chance, send him to jail for a few months or make him spend the rest of his entire sentence in prison.

    I violated probation and I was originally arrested for gun possession. I was violated for smoking weed, he probably won't do jail time, depending on why he missed his appointment.They probably send him to a program.
