Juvenile On the run now a adult
My boyfriend ran from his group home a year or so ago when he was 17yro, he is now 18yro. And he has been thinking of turning himself in. I don't have the money for a lawyer or attorney. But how would this go? Is the warrant still active? If it is are they going to just let it go or are things going to be worse now? His charges were possession of illegal substances. When he was in the group home he was having problems with other kids in there and that's the reason he ran. If he was to go turn himself in what would they do?

By the way we are in CA, just thought id say that because I know some states are different.

If he was detained there based on criminal charges, ran, and now wants to turn himself in. I would assume, yes, he would have to serve the time he didn't and perhaps more for running.

Warrants do not die - if there was a warrant then there is a warrant now.
