    There's no length of time... It's just when the bureaucrats get around to it. You could certainly call them up and ask. I would.

    First remember if there are issues they can say NO, there is a request to the state you are going, and a request from the state you are leaving.
    If you have a job and a place to live arranged it can help. But it can take a long time or it can be a few weeks, it is all a matter of government in action, is someone on vacation, are they over worked and so on
