    Can I teach if my husband has a felony
    I am studying to be an elementary reading specialist. My husband got a felony 19 years ago (he was 20) for telling someone where they could buy marijuana. He has since become a successful businessman and upstanding member of our community. Will I be able to get a job teaching since he has a felony on his record?

    I was never asked about my family ever when I was hired. You need to pass a fingerprint test and have a clear record. Your state's credentialing requirements will be found online if you are in the US. Good luck and great choice for a profession!

    Being related to a felon should have no affect on your chances of being certified or hired. BTW I think you should actual be telling us the charges he was aressted for, this story lack some detail in that area.
