Being sued by J.R.S.-I. Inc. for Credit debt in Illinois
I am being sued by J.R.S.-I. Inc. for a credit card debt that I don't have any information on in my records.

I have always paid all of my credit card debts, mortgage and any other loans off in the allotted time and usually pay more per month than the required minimum. I have found out by the lawyers for J.R.S.-I that this card was opened in Mar. 01 and went to collections in Aug. 06.

To date, I have not received anything stating that I have been in default nor heard from Chase Bank (original creditor) about this. This really strikes me weird because I bank at Chase and also have another credit card with Chase.

I have tried to find the number for J.R.S.-I. Inc. so I can get information about this default but have not been able to find any information regarding their phone number or address. Can anybody tell me how to get this information?

Also, when and if I do reach them, can I ask for Discovery of information this early in the game, or do I have to wait until it is set for trial?

Any help on this matter would be appreciated.

    Thank you in advance,

If you've been sued there is a contact info on the Summons. What does that list as an address and/or phone number?

You HAVE to answer the Summons within the alloted time. As part of your response ask for proof of the debt.

Are you being sued in Small Claims Court or a Superior Court? The Court determines how "formal" your response must be.
