    Arrested - No Criminal Record
    If a person was arrested and in the end, did not receive a criminal record, is that person still bondable? Will the arrest show up when a security check is done on that person? This relates to law in Ontario, Canada.

    Many people are arrested, heck I got arrested by mistake one time, arrests don't mean anything, it is convictions that go on your record.

    --well your right to a certain point Chuck... the arrest will most likely show up on your record (as they do in Texas) but below the arrest "section" of your criminal history it will show what you were convicted of... if it shows nothing then it means you were cleared of the charges but the arrest will still show up and sometimes haunt people when applying for jobs/security clearances... etc, as far as will it show up on yours in Canada is another story, I have no idea, but I would check w/ the local police department there and find out. You are allowed to have a copy of your own criminal record.

    On the bankground check that business gets on a background check, they are only allowed to see the NCIC records of a conviction.

    Any arrests are on the report, but are restricted by law to law enforcement or national security. At least in GA, we would have lost our job giving out any arrest only data to anyone.

    My arrest was actually funny, I was in the post office, and the undercover officer inside, told the officers outside to get the suspisiouis perosn leaving the post office, Well the real bad guy walked away, they got me.

    Guess I looked more guilty than the guilty person.

    HAHA... aside from the horrible, but funny luck... thanks for info, I was not aware of that little tid-bit about the NCIC section, I work for a police dept here in Texas, a city w/ a population of approx 110,000 and so we're always up to our ears in Criminal Histories and things of that nature... thanks for sharing :)
