    Are u still convicted even u pay charges?
    If the solicitor of the shop send u charges or fines @ paid for it are u still have a criminal record @ when u go out of the country or enter to u.k will be appear on the system that u have a record of shoplifting.

    If you were charged and when to court, ( or paid a fine to the court) then youu have a record unless there was some deal to have charges droped.
