    A trial date for debt with American express
    I was able to set a side a judgment.now the judge set a trial date. My issue is I am unemloyed my wife is. If I lose how can I stop them from not garnish my wife's wages the card was on my name only.

    If the card was yours solely, and your wife did not hold a secondary card, then I think she is relatively safe from seizure of her wages, if and only if you do not share a joint bank account. Everything in a joint bank account is fair game if they receive a court ordered judgment.

    If your pay check, any money forthcoming from other sources id direct deposited then you should have that changed to cheques only sent to your home or a post office box.
