    Double trouble
    How do you fight judgements, and accounts that are sold so that I can get them off my credit report for credit card debt that was sold and was a month to come off my credit report. And now the new company is put it on my report as if I just started doing business with them.

    Credit Reporting Time is 7 years. The 7 years doe not begin running until 180 days past DOFD. (Date of first delinquency).

    This date does not change once it has reached collection/charge off status.

    Each time the account gets sold, it doesn't change.

    "Date open" may change.

    You may need to pull your reports directly from the CRA in order to see the important dates.

    If you haven't gotten your free one in the last 12 months, you may do so at https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/index.jsp

    If you've already gotten those, you can get a free one if you've been denied credit in the last 60 days, and for other reasons. You go to each CRA in order to get these free ones.
