Can judgements be removed from a credit report?
I couldn't afford two tickets from two years ago, both are in the collections (Alliance One) that the court here uses and I'm paying them shortly. Can or will they be removed once paid? It seems fair that something that has no relation to credit, besides my loose ability to pay something on time even though tickets aren't exactly something you can plan for, would be removed once paid. But, I know credit bureaus are far from being fair; still, is there anything I can do to have them removed? Or at least appear as a neutral account rather than killing my credit?

You can post an explanation on your credit report. People have posted that they have been able to get info removed from credit reports but every time there's been no logical explanation and it boiled down to some pay site, no guarantee.

Thanks for the response; shame it's not what I hoped for though.

I have another question on here (here being askmehelpdesk) about gettting a collection agency to agree to remove or list the debt as satisfactory if paid in full. Do you think there is any chance in getting these to be negotiated in a similar manner? I ask as they are now owned by a collection agency (Alliance One) rather than San Diedo Superior Courts and thought they might be more concerned about getting the money rather than hurting my credit.

Off subject a bit but; what's the best way to make sure the tell San Diego Superior Courts they have been paid so I don't have a warrant for a ticket that has been paid?

First it does not sound like they are a judgement ? A judgement is received after you don't pay, they take you to court and get a judgement.

This sounds just like a debt from an unpaid ticket that was sold or went to a collection agency instead of being treated like a criminal issue.

Best way is to pay the court directly if they still own the debt.

But don't do anything with the credit agency over the phone, do it in writing, get their agreement in writing, and keep your payment receipt ( cancelled check so on) as proof if you need to show it in court

Oh, I guess that makes sense. I thought these were judgements because the court technically issued the fine after the court date. In San Diego all unpaid fines go directly to Aliiance One if unpaid. I think it's since 9/11 but who know; basically if it's unpaid they don't want to deal with it I guess.

Do you think I should try to call Sad Diego Superior Court and pay them directly? If I do so, Alliance One who is now reporting on my credit would technically not be able to have or list anything on my report because they wouldn't be the debt holder right? Nor is this even really a "debt" in the since that I skipped paying my bills; I got a ticket when I was out of work and couldn't pay. If this is the case how could I make sure it goes the ideal way?

It is getting paid here shortly but I had to get some more money first so I could pay both rather than one at a time for fear of issues between each; like harassing calls and such.

I filed for bankruptcy in 1-2011. I had a credit card company that accepted the bankruptcy, I have just found out that the credit card company took out a judgement in 2009, the ccc after I filed bankruptcy sold the accounts to 2 separate collection agency's. I am trying to remove them from my credit report, we have talked to the collection agency's they asked that we fax a copy of the bankruptcy to them we did, and they would release the judgement, we did they didn't. What can I do to have the judgements removed, we are trying to sell the house and can't.
