    Partners in a consulting firm
My partner and I had a signed agreement that he would provide money/recruit and do the back office support work while I went out and got business for new clients in the IT Staffing and consulting field. This worked out great at first when we had 4-5 consultants billing and after 3 months we started paying ourselves a salary of 6k a month each. Eventually he got greedy and also started reading my email. This was our company that I signed into but he had no existing clients or business. We had a joint account but when he felt he didn't need me anymore he closed the account, closed my access to the clients invoicing site to track payment to our account of our consultants and is not saying I am out completely with no need to pay me the half agreed upon?
Now he has gotten an attorney and called our clients to bad mouth me and then says I cannot call this client for business since its was done in his company even though we have a signed partner agreement. Do I have a chance of winning the 35k half that is owed to me??

I have contacted my attorney and given the agreement to him. It does state a 50/50 split of profits and currently we have approximately 175k in profits.

    Thanks,

    David

Depending on the signed agreement, but yes if it was all done properly you should have a good chance

You have a signed contract - does it call for a half and half split? (You said he owes you your 35K half.)

Your Attorney should respond to his Attorney and also get some affidavits concerning exactly what is being said about you.
