    Repair floor joists holes
How do I repair floor joists that have been drilled by the electrician too close to the edge of the joist, Our county code says no less than 2" from bottom. Mine have been drilled 1 1/2 to 1 inch and fails the inspection.

Was this done with a building permit, if so its up to the electrician to fix the problem. Once drilled wrong many inspectors will never give their OK to the joist. In my area I'd be allowed to sister a plywood strip on each side of the joist, glued and screwed. How many joists did he drill through?
