I am laying piers with 12 x 16" block 48" deep in the ground to support a 1 story shelter that will be on posts about 4' off the ground. Does it make a difference if I use sand mix or mortar mix to lay the block.

I need some type of grouting material for a patio made with small concrete slabs. Would this be good to use? I recently saw an application of some type of sand that was used between pavers that was then sprayed with water to set it.

I am considering overlaying concrete over concrete in the basement. How can I best do this to avoid problems with it in the future. I plan on coloring the cement before I say or staining it once it has been overlayed. I want to do it right the first time. Thanks
