    Log on to windows - character typing error
    I am attempting to log on to windows page and when I go to enter my password - I start to type a character extra characters appear. How do I correct this? My number lock and scroll lock are not on.
    Need assistance urgently please!

    Connect a USB keyboard and then restart your PC. Try typing the password with the USB keyboard (A functional one).

    I am sure it is going to resolve your problem and then try to work our the problem with your current faulty keyboard or replace it if possible

    Try this: press CLT-ALT-DEL keys at the Welcome Screen. Press again if needed (all three at the same time then release). A logon box should appear (like the NT logon) asking you for your user name and password.

    If it's a USB keyboard, try unplugging it and plugin again.
