    Save Windows Movie Maker file
I have exhausted of trying to save a .mswmm file to movie format. I tried to save it after adding subtitles and deleteing some clips. But of no avail. When I choose "Save As Movie File", Save is never complete. Sometimes after 14% sometimes after 25%. And the message I get "Windows Movie Maker can not save the movie to specific location. Verify that original source used in your movie are still available, that the saving location is still available and that there is enough free disk space available, and then try again. I don't get it. Please help me.

Here are some suggestions from MS

Movie Maker 2 stops responding when you try to save a large movie file

When you try to save a movie in Microsoft Windows Movie Maker 2, Movie Maker 2 may stop responding (hang). You may receive the following error message:

Windows Movie Maker cannot save the movie to the specified location. Verify that the original source files used in your movie are still available, that the saving location is still available, and that there is enough free disk space available, and then try again.
    Basically link above says this:

    CAUSE

This problem may occur when the file size of the movie exceeds the available RAM on your computer.

    Solution

1: Reduce the Size of the Movie File
2: Reduce the Movie Setting Size
3: Increase the Size of the Paging File
4: Save the Movie in Smaller Sections
5: Perform a clean startup in Windows XP
