    System Recovery - HP
Hi - my computer says "Not enough resources" and monitor says "no signal" and continually goes to sleep. I tried to right click a picture of my children onto my desktop and it was too huge and my entire system seems to be blocked somehow. I turn on the computer and get the above. It was saying "not enough resources" when I clicked on an icon, now my icons are gone... I was advised I can do a system recovery on my HP somehow but the phone tech wanted $99 for an extended warranty... no thanks.

Have you tried logging in through safe mode?

Just after POST where you see all these numbers and just before you see the Windows boot screen, press the F8 button, or the F12, or the TAB (depends on some computers) to go to the advanced start-up menu and choose Safe Mode. Perhaps you can undo there.
