    Computer in continuous power saving mode
    Hello, After Cheking Power Cable,vga signal cable,power adapter,Turning Hard Drive On/Off,And Monitor On/Off (Several Times)... my Monitor Does not Stay On... The LED Shows Green For 2 Seconds Then Turns To Amber... I Need Help... Anyone?. Thank You

    I'm assuming this is for your desktop...

    Is your monitor hooked up to your computer? Meaning, once it turns on, does it actually have the desktop displayed? Monitors usually go into power saving mode if they're not hooked up.

    In addition to making sure it's plugged in, make sure the computer is on. Start simple, lol.

    If everything is plugged in and turned out, then listen for any beeps emitted from the computer while it's starting. If you power it up and nothing displays, but you hear a few beeps, post what they are here. It's called a beep code, and it can help determine what's wrong.

    If nothing comes up on the screen and there are no beeps, it's usually a bad CPU, Motherboard, or Power Supply

    Yes It's All Hooked Up And Yes it's a desk Top

    Post The Beeps?. Um,I guess I'm not sure What you mean by that...

    Well,I Turned It back On And There Were "No"Beeps... Does Not Sound Good... Think It Could Be That The monitor Is Out... I got It back In 2002

    If you've got another computer, try the monitor on that. See if you can find any way to test the monitor on another computer, or borrow a monitor from someone and test it on yours to see if it works.

    If it still doesn't work with a different monitor, there are a coupe things you can do to troubleshoot, but we'll get to that if it happens.

    Have a look at the cable, there are "pins" - i.e. little bits of metal that fit into in the bit you plug into the computer. Have a look, and see if any are broken off. Borrow someone else's monitor, and plug it in - see if it's the computer that is not working or the screen.
