    Scanner inoperable
I use my Scanjet scanner habitually. For some reason, suddenly it refuses to work, but it IS connected and my computer says it is installed and running. When I log on, the scanner starts up as well but will not scan. I used it just the other day so know it is working.

Try reloading the scanner software and verify that the USB cable is connected

Of course I have done that the first thing and several times after. No result. Sorry.

I have just been given a Packard Bell 1200 plus scanner for Fathers Day! (Lucky me). My question is, is this scanner suitable for scanning my slides (Transparencies). I have 100's from years ago. It has a resolution of 600x1200. Any advice welcomed. Thank you.
