If it is the same version of the on ethat is on the PC you have now, you should be OK as long as you have the product key # that is installed on the system now
Click start, run and type regedit and go to 1 of the 2 keys below and write down the product key # for installation purposes
If not comfortable with using registry editor, see if you can find someone you trust to get the information for you
In Windows XP
- there are in fact two entries, both called ProductKey. One's under
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentV ersion,
And the other is
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareMicrosoftWinNTCurrentVer sion.
Your product key is a 25-digit number.
