Need Ideas Where to Buy Computer Desktop at Best Prices
I am looking to replace just the Tower in my wife's 5-Yr Old Dell Desktp which is getting old and sickly

Last year I bought a great LCD Monitor and a laser Printer so all I need is a well-priced Tower, middle of the line price wise... I am looking for value so it could be a Dell or a HP, or whatever.

Does anyone out there have any suggestions/Links, etc or where I could try looking. I assume I can get a better deal On-line rather than my local Office Depot or similar stores.

I welcome your ideas/input, etc. Thank you,

I always use PriceGrabber to locate best prices for electronics. You can read reviews posted by visitors; be sure to check reviews of the web sites & choose one that has a high rating.

Pricegrabber is good, but for years I've purchased directly from TigerDirect.com - Computers, Computer Parts, Computer Accessories, PC Components, & Electronics Look at that deal on a Dual Core laptop on their homepage today... awesome!`

Each DAY their inventory changes. Today they're having a TERABYTE drive sale for $60, one day only. Awesome.

Go there and sign up for their "almost" daily newsletter of hot deals and check it for a few days, you will absolutely get the deal of the month by doing that. As I said, I buy almost exclusively from them now due to their deals and quality offerings.

Don't be scared of "refurbished". Most of those items offer a much better price and whatever WAS wrong with the system originally has been found and fixed.

In essence, I think of refurbished as a better deal than new, because someone bought it new and it had issues... which can happen to you on any new system you buy... so in this case someone found the "issue(s)" and I think of these as a safer/cheaper option all the way around. My refurbished Gateway I bought on TigerDirect 5 years ago is still purring along nicely.

Second tip - the "build-your-own" outlets from the Dell and HP frequently have some very sweet offerings. (but I'd still buy from TigerDirect.)
