Hi, I recently got this error message posted on my computer... what should I do??
Computer restarted after an unexpected shutdown. Microsoft Windows detected a possible device failure. The driver for the display device was unable to complete a drawing operation. Please check with the device manufacturer for a driver update.
The display driver for NVIDIA RIVA TNT2 Model 64 seems to be responsible for the system instability.
If this error does not continue to occur, don't worry about it. Basically windows thinks that your video drivers are causing "system instability." If you don't have any such instability, consider it just a freak error.
If, on the other hand, your computer is behaving even more bizarre than normal (by normal I mean normal by windows standards), you need to update your video drivers. Head on over to nvidia.com and download and install the latest drivers for your card.

Then another Microsoft error message popped up saying...
The system has recovered from a serious error.
The following files will be included in this error report:
C:\\Windows\Minidump\Mini032404-01.dmp
C:\\DOCUME~1\Darren\LOCALS~1\Temp\\WER4.tmp. Dir00\sysdata.xml
This is just windows telling you things have gone awry and that it is sending an error report to Microsoft. Nothing to worry about. If you don't want error reports to be sent, you can turn this feature off.

What does this all mean and is there anything I can do to fix it because I can't afford to be bringing my computer in to be fixed.
This is almost certainly a software problem. Unless you have reason to think you have a hardware problem, you don't need to bring your computer to a shop.

By the way,
Please don't name your thread "HELP!"
Name it something else, such as something relating to your problem.
