    Just drag and drop.

This is the way to do it for data files... but if you really want everything - including all software and even the operating system, then you're better off using an app like Drive Image to do it.

    Transfer
    Hi,
If you have Windows XP; here is a link with full explanations on how to use XP's feature of "Files and Settings Transfer" to another partition, drive, or a different hard drive.
Scroll down to the "B" choice, of transferring to another partition name, such as your D: Drive.

The explanations also include pictures of how to do it.

You need to define this better. What information? What is the C drive, what is the D drive? Why are you doing this?

Generally files are copied or moved from one drive to another using Windows Explorer or My Computer. You can have Windows open for both the C and D Drives and drag and drop or copy/cut and paste. However, depending on what the D Drive is and what you want to transfer the process may be different.

Unless you are transferring to another computer you do NOT want the File And Transfer Settings wizard that another poster recommended.

Please supply more info so we can truly help.
