    Dsostop2
I tried this for DSO exploit and when I ran spybot again it never showed up, but when I checked registry files that 1004 was still there?
So has DSO Exploit gone or not??

If you have completely removed all of the 10 files '1004' in all the folders 0,1,2,3,4 you will have of removed it.

But there are also more hidden 1004 files, which can be located if need so, if you need more detail into how to remove the DSO bot completely veiw DSO Eploit fix and follow the instruction.

thanks for advice - but help again please
I should remove all the 1004 files or wotever they are called (I must delete them is that correct)
    Now, when I open Zone 0 - I see 1004 and then the data says - 0x00000003(3) - does this mean there are 3 x 1004 files?
    If so I have 13 x 1004 - I am so confused!!

    OK read carefully:

1004 files only contain process data, it means what it actually is doing in the backgoround. So if there is data in there it means is it active. In the Zone 1,2,3 and 4 folders there are copies of the 1004 key, hence why you can't get rid of it! So even when you delete the copy In zone 0 folder, it still runs in the hidden key files. Which are the 1's in zone folder 1,2,3,4. go into each folder then delete the 1004 key. Don't worry about values in the 1004 file as they are irrelevant. Once you've removed them run S&D, then open IE, notice no change?

I hope that's not to hard, regards
