    Can't log in windows 2000
    Bought a used older dell computer. Can't log in to windows 2000. Don't know password.

    Hi, billyk!

    Greetings and WELCOME to the site! I just moved your question that you had posted in Introductions to this topic area so that it would get the most exposure to those who are best able to answer it. Introductions is for people to introduce themselves and we try to not ask questions there.

    I do note that you have already received one answer to your question. If it is an older computer that has already been used by someone else, then I would agree that reformatting it would be a possible route to take. Additionally, by reformatting it, you might be able to put a new, updated operating system on it and also wouldn't have to be dealing with whatever someone else had on it.

    We would appreciate it if you would return to Introductions sometime to tell us a little about yourself though, if you would be willing to do that.
