An Application Page Opens Larger than my Screen
    Happy Holidays Everyone.

I have an older Canon scanner that works great. It's a CanOScan N1240U.

It came with software that appears to be needed to operate the scanner. It is call ArcSoft PhotoBase.

When PhotoBase opens (automatically) after a scan, the window is larger than my monitor screen.

I can just barely move it enough to grab the corner and resize it to fit the screen.

Every time I close the application, and it reopens after another scan, it does the same thing.

I've noticed in other Windows based applications, that after you resize a window, close it, and reopen it, it remembers the new size.

Is there a way to lock this setting so the application window opens at the correct size?

    Thanks...

Yes, it is set to max. My resolution is set to match my monitor, 1920 x 1080.

This problem only happens with this one application.

Have you checked the preferences of the application? Also, what OS are you running?

    Give this a try
Find the program or icon for ArcSoft PhotoBase. And right click on it and choose properties

Now in the dropdown box, change that to Maximized and click Apply

Now when that application opens, it should maximize to the size of the screen.

If you do this on the icon for the program and it does not work, you would need to go in windows explorer and find where the arcsoft.exe file is and then right click and choose Maximize option and apply.

I don't know if arcsoft.exe is the actual file but the .exe file you would need to change this setting to will be in the ArcSoft PhotoBase. Folder.

    Seahwk-

    This solved the problem 98%.

It is much better, but the bottom edge of the window is cut off by about 1/8". There is a bit of data down there, but nothing critical.

    Odd situation.

Thanks for the procedure. I shall save this.

If you need to see the info, change your screen resolution higher, you will be able to see it all if only for this app, you can change resolution back when done

Unfortunately, my screen resolution is already at max.

This is fine. The data at the bottom is superfluous.

I am curious however, why this is happening, only on this app.

    Thanks again...
