    What is the Value of my Confederate Paper Money
    I have a two dollar bill from Jan 4, 1863 (Bank of Chattanooga); a One Dollar Bill from 1863 (State of Florida); a $500 bill Feb. 17, 1861 (Confederate States of America); a five dollar bill dated Oct. 1, 1862 (Tresury Warrant-The Treasurer of the State of Texas, a one hundred Dollar bill dated Jan. 1864 from the State of Alabama and a one hundred dollar bill dated March 10, 1863 from the State of Louisiana and aGerman Mark that says Eine Million Mark all in German. Are any of these of value-all in great condition.

    Beanie1948 - I am going to have to have the following information ,In order that I can get your answers, I thought I could with what I had , But it is not possible to because of the different sceans, colors ,pictures. Varitys etc etc ::: thanks ::F.B.E.

Authorized currency durning 1861 -1863 , BUT since large portions of the STATYE were occupied ,almost from the beinning by UNION FORCES , ( IT IS NOT KNOWN { IF ANY GENUINE NOTES WERE EVER ISSUED::} )
    IN 1865 to 1869 ,GOV. WHILLIAM A> BROWNLOW < BONDS DID NOT GO TO WELL
    in TNN. so to meet the needs of a impoverished STATE< NOTES of lower denominations were also issued in 1875

    My books show ( NO ) confederate money printed until after 1865, after this date ,book shows a ( $ 1.00, 4 2.00; $10.00; $2o.oo; $ 50.00 : Issued on ( MAY 1st, 1875
    The reconstruction of the AMENDMENTS 14 & 15 ,To the CONSTITUTION ( DID NOT TAKE PLACE AS WAS SUSPOSED TO < BUT

    AN ordiance of secession was adoptedat MONTGOMERY ALABAMA on Jan.11,1861 when 61 delegates voted for secession and
    39 against. ALABAMA thus became the fourth state to leave the union, Montgomery was the CAPITALof the COPNFEDERATE STATES and was the site where the Delegates from the lower SOUTH met on FEB.4 1861 to establish the CONFEDERACY. That was the same day that an abortive peace conference opened at WASHINGTON.Untill VIRGINIA secessed in APRIL . ALABAMA was readmitted to the union ( JULY 13,1868.
    ALABAMA ,did not began to issue its own paper money ,until 1863. First issue had the printed SIGNATURE of JOHN GILL SHORTER ( 1818-1872 who was the GOVERNOR of the state ( AUG 1861 - DEC 1862 :: Each note bears a serial number and is hand numbered . Except as indicated, the notes are not printed on the back. All were engraved & printed by the branch of J.T. PATERSON & co. AUGUSTA GEORGIA. ( The $ 100.00 NOtE, STATE OF ALABAMA, you have was printed on JAN. 1861. THE ONLY ONES PRINTED . Also there was NO 4 20.00 denomination printed ::
