How much is an 1899 $1.00 silver certificate worth?
We have a one silver dollar silver certificate with on the front, a photo of Lincoln on the left and Grant on the right. In the middle is an eagle, wings spread and a faint picture of the capitol on the left bottom of the eagle. I cannot find a date but there is "M24747533A" stamped twice on the front. It is signed by Speelman (Register of the Treasury) and Frank White (Treasurer of the United States).
On the back there is no photo, but a large green circle with "This certificagte is receivable for customs, taxes... and I can't read the rest.
It is in good condition, it has been folded.
    Is this worth anything?

I have 1/2 of a 1899 Silver Certificate $5 Indian Chief on it. I have the left side. The edges are in a worn condition. I see that they are valued at $1099. If I follow the treasury rules - 1/2 would be worth 1/2 the value. Is that true?
