    Hi, LHATS_2008!

You have a nice piece of currency there! Amazing and beautiful design on the obverse and reverse of it!

Looks to me like it would probably be graded Fine to Very Fine.

Flying Blue Eagle is an Expert on this site who has the current documentation concerning the possible monetary value of such currency. As such, I'm hopeful that he'll be along sometime soon to address your post.

I do know that he's been having some health problems, so hopefully, that's not why he hasn't been around in a couple of days.

    Thanks!

That's an excellent idea about protecting the currency, F.B.E.

I hadn't even thought about that! Most of my paper currency isn't in all that good of shape. However, my best coins that I have, I do have "under wraps" of some kind.

    Thanks!

I also have a 1928G red seal $2 bill. It is in the same condition as the one in question. I was also looking for the value of this bill. I was to that it could be worth any were from $10 to $450. I can't decide to sell it or keep it a little long. I would like to see it go to a collector, if I can find one. How do get in contact with them?

    Hello Flying Blue Eagle,

Are you there? I read your post from 2009 regarding collectors and I'd like to get in touch with one or more collectors in the West Los Angeles area. I have three $2 1928 G series, one in good condition, two with some darkening like someone had stippled them. Also, 4 $2 bills series 1963, 1 series 1963 A, 2 series 1953, 6 Series 1953 A, 4 series 1953 B, 3 series 1953 C, and 40 series 1976 -- all are $2 bills.

If you get this, I'd love to hear your advice on how to contact collectors in WLA.

Thank you and warm best wishes from
    Lucy

We have a 1928 G Series, Red Seal $2 Note, with F on top Left, Bottom Right says, "F492", on the back says, "352". The Serial Number Starts with D and ends with A. It is creased, but not ripped, I would more than likely grade it around a "fine" description. We are interested in finding approximately what it is worth.

I also have a 1928G series $2 bill. With quite a few wrinkles, but is still in good to very good condition. Was glad to see your response, Flying blue Eagle! Looks like SEVERAL people have the 1928 $2 bills. I didn't realize they were that popular! I'm holding this one for my granddaughter some day, as her dad gave it to her when she was smaller. Hopefully, she'll be able to sell it some day for a little money, along with other bills and coins we have. Good luck everyone on your money discoveries!
