    When to file abandonment charges on a mother
    My nephew,s mother has been in an abusive relationship on and off for about 9 years.about 3 months ago she left with my nephew and her other son,she went to her brother,s house last week sometime she went back to her boyfriend and left ny nephew at her brother's house.this is my brother's son,my nephew called my brother and said his mom went back to her boyfriends and he didn't want to go because of the abuse to his mother and the mental and verbal abuse to him,so his mother left him at her brothers.my brother is going to go get him this weekend coming so he can finish his last of school and we know he is safe with his uncle.how can my brother file abandonment charges on his sons mother?we live in Indiana. THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP! She left my nephew in Indiana and went to Ohio!!

    Well you can report her to chld services and I believe that they can either make her straighten up or take th children and place them into foster care or place them with a relative.
