And why any negative comments ? Having twins is just a fact of life.

Issues of being able to afford children, housing and more, can be issues.

But you feed them, change diapers and get family and friend to help.

I take it that you are having twins (https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/teens/...nt-801529.html ). This is a big challenge for adults. For a 13 year old it is going to be even harder emotionally, mentally, and physically as well as financially. It is going to make it even more crucial that you get child support from the father whether he will be involved with them or not.

My mother-in-law had twins (my husband's younger brothers) she always said that help and support were two of the big needs. Is your mother being supportive? Will she give you help? Look to see if you can find a Mommy and Me type group for mothers of twins. They can give you tips and encouragement in person.

Then comes doubling everything. Plus about 100% more patience, energy, and understanding.

Thanks for clearing that up Cat!

Twins are tough for most couples in a healthy adult relationship. At 13, it will be nearly impossible for you to handle alone. You will need a very strong support system to tackle this. If indeed you are pregnant with twins. You and your mother might be able to make it alone, but it will be extremely tough.

As Cat said, you have to double everything. Your emotions, your finances, etc. Your sleep, however, will be cut considerably as twins aren't always on the same schedule, so you might catch an hour of sleep here, and an hour there.

I have a friend that recently had twins. She is 32. She has a support system. Her son is 15, and daughter 12, and another son 3. Her husband is with her, and she lives next door to her mother. This poor woman never catches a break, even though she has built in babysitters.

I pray that you are only hoping for twins because you are 13, and not that you really are pregnant with twins. At your age pregnancy is a very serious situation with just one baby inside you. You are not done growing and now your body has to grow you and a baby. With twins, it's even worse and increases your high risk category as your body is not developed enough to even grow yourself, let alone two babies.

I am a twin, and providing the basic needs it mayor factor to do, basic needs are shelter, warmth, food, clean, keeping them dehydrated, making sure they have things they need, clothes, and just supporting them and making sure you are there for them, because you're the most important attachment figure in there life which is very important to them and you can do this by picking them up when they cry because that sign of them calling you, and support them emotionally and just be the best you can.
