How can I get my 2 year old to eat?
My son is 2 and a half years old and won't eat.. I have tried everything I can think of but he still refuses. I have tried to reward him. I have tried several different foods but he just sits there and plays with it. I don't allow my child to have much candy. He is lucky to get 1 sucker a week. Is that my problem or is he just going through a stage?

He's just going through a stage.

You know, on average it takes 15 times of offering a child a new food before he/she accepts it.

Children will not starve themselves. Not this young anyway, lol. They know when they are hungry and they will eat.

As long as you are feeding him healthy foods, preferably foods on the go, and he is not losing weight you shouldn't be too concerned. This is VERY common in this age group and we were even taught about it in our pediatric rotation.

My sons were like that. I couldn't even get them to eat McDonalds.
IS there any foods he likes?
You might have to get creative with your recipes.
In the 70's they use to say "If he gets hungry enough"
BUT if he is refusing to even take a bite of anything at all you maybe should get him an appointment with a dr. especially if he is losing weight or getting weak.
